This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to advanced imaging systems, working at the intersection of software architecture, image processing, and high-performance computing. You will play a key role in shaping the architecture of sophisticated software solutions that power next-generation industrial imaging technologies.

Your role

As a Software Architect, you will be responsible for defining and driving software architecture across complex imaging applications, ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, and high-performing.

Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will translate technical and business requirements into robust software designs while contributing to the development of innovative imaging and reconstruction technologies.

Key responsibilities:

• Define, design, and evolve software architectures for complex industrial imaging systems.
• Lead technical decision-making and establish software design principles, standards, and best practices.
• Contribute to the development of high-performance applications using C++, Python, and C#.
• Work on image processing and image reconstruction algorithms, helping transform complex technical requirements into practical software solutions.
• Collaborate with software developers, algorithm engineers, and other technical specialists to deliver integrated solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve software performance, maintainability, scalability, and overall system reliability.
• Provide technical guidance and support to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Stay at the forefront of software engineering practices and emerging technologies relevant to industrial imaging.

What They're looking for

They are looking for a technically strong Software Architect who combines excellent software engineering skills with the ability to understand complex systems and guide architectural decisions.

Essential skills and experience:

• Strong experience in software development and software architecture.
• Excellent programming skills in C++, alongside experience with Python and/or C#.
• Solid knowledge of image processing and/or image reconstruction.
• Experience designing and developing complex, performance-critical software applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate technically challenging environments.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• A proactive mindset, with a passion for technical innovation and continuous improvement.

Nice to have:

• Experience in algorithmic engineering, algorithm development, or mathematical modelling.
• Background in industrial imaging, scientific imaging, computer vision, or similar technology-driven environments.
• Experience optimising computationally intensive applications or working with complex data processing pipelines.
