Koniag Professional Services, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Software Developer for Power Platform to join a team providing critical operations and maintenance support for a federal health agency's SharePoint and Power Platform environments. The Software Developer for Power Platform Operations Support will provide comprehensive 24/7 operations and maintenance (O&M) support for a federal agency's SharePoint Online and Power Platform environments. This individual will serve as a key technical resource responsible for resolving incidents, fulfilling service requests, developing and enhancing collaboration solutions, and ensuring the stability and compliance of the agency's Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Provide 24/7 O&M support for SharePoint Online and Power Platform environments, including system monitoring, issue resolution, ad hoc requests, and escalation management.
- Deliver operational support for service requests including permission management, content migrations, SharePoint page creation and updates, analytics, and business automations.
- Resolve user-reported issues in compliance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring all tickets are updated with current status and detailed work descriptions using approved ticketing tools.
- Collaborate with the tenant administrator to resolve issues, optimize service delivery, and ensure compliance with tenant-level governance standards; actively participate in tenant-level workgroup meetings.
- Support the client and other stakeholders in content migration efforts to fulfill business requirements.
- Maintain, support, and enhance existing collaboration solutions and business automations developed using Microsoft SharePoint and Power Platform; decommission solutions following standard procedures upon system retirement.
- Plan and execute the retirement of legacy SharePoint components (e.g., classic features, deprecated workflows, outdated integrations) with minimal service disruption.
- Develop and maintain automated reports, workflows, and tools to support internal IT operations processes and routine task execution.
- Implement and monitor system alerts to detect anomalies and take swift corrective actions; identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Regularly assess project risks, monitor issues and dependencies, and implement contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
- Provide support for SharePoint integrations with multi-factor authentication, Tableau, SWIFT, NOFO Navigator (Dynamics 365), Drupal, Records Management systems, and other third-party tools as required.
- Provide comprehensive technical guidance and support to agency stakeholders and citizen developers for SharePoint and Power Platform development by establishing and enforcing standards and best practices, offering office hours and work session support to ensure consistent and secure platform use.
- Create, modify, and remove content hosted on SharePoint sites, including documents and multimedia content; consolidate and standardize SharePoint sites by eliminating duplicates and archiving or deleting unused sites.
- Respond to data requests and generate operational or data-related reports and dashboards to support security monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting, and audit log generation.
- Provide Azure DevOps administration support, including managing project collections, projects, backlogs, user permissions, repositories, CI/CD pipeline configurations, and dashboard reporting metrics.
- Maintain the project backlog in Azure DevOps using Agile methodologies, facilitating sprint planning and ensuring clear visibility of task progress and alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Identify, develop, and implement Records Management General Records Schedules (GRS) and tagging functionalities for all web applications within agency collaboration solutions.
- Enhance existing or develop new custom solutions and business automations using SharePoint Online, MS Teams, MS Dynamics 365, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), Drupal, and Copilot to improve business efficiencies and expand capabilities.
- Leverage modern technologies, automation, and AI to enhance functionality and user experience while ensuring zero production defects through rigorous testing, documentation, and adherence to Agile and SDLC best practices.
Education and Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SharePoint Online development, administration, and support.
- 3+ years of experience developing solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
- Experience working in an operations and maintenance (O&M) environment with defined SLAs and ticketing systems.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint Online, including site creation, content management, permissions management, and page development.
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining Power Platform solutions including Power Apps (canvas and model-driven), Power Automate workflows, and Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, including backlog management, CI/CD pipeline configuration, repository setup, and user permissions management.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum, sprint planning, and backlog grooming.
- Ability to resolve user-reported technical issues in a timely manner in compliance with established SLAs and SOPs.
- Experience supporting SharePoint integrations with third-party tools and systems (e.g., Dynamics 365, Drupal, Tableau, or similar platforms).
- Ability to develop and maintain automated workflows, reports, and tools to support IT operations and routine task execution.
- Experience planning and executing the retirement or migration of legacy SharePoint components with minimal service disruption.
- Knowledge of Records Management principles and the ability to implement General Records Schedules (GRS) and tagging functionalities within collaboration solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to monitor system alerts, detect anomalies, and implement corrective actions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to provide technical guidance, training, and support to citizen developers and non-technical end users.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently manage workload priorities.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
Desired Skills and Competencies:
- Experience working in a federal government IT environment, preferably supporting a health-focused agency.
- Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate, SharePoint Associate, or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 development or administration.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot and AI-driven tools within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
- Experience with Drupal content management systems.
- Knowledge of Single Sign-On (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) concepts and implementations within Microsoft 365 environments.
- Experience supporting content migrations across SharePoint environments.
- Familiarity with SDLC best practices and software testing methodologies, including unit and system testing.
- Experience developing dashboards and generating audit logs for security monitoring and compliance reporting purposes.
- Knowledge of SharePoint governance frameworks and best practices for site consolidation and standardization.
