Job Title: Solar Superintendent Job Description Responsible for coordinating and managing construction work performed by contractors and vendors at the project site. The role entails assessing productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance on the project. Additionally, the position involves managing walk downs of planned work, validating acceptance of completed work to design requirements, approving contractor payment requests, verifying constructability, ensuring proper resource allocations, assessing field status, and resolving issues as needed. Responsibilities Define strategic commissioning frameworks and corporate-wide standards. Manage enterprise-level commissioning projects and regulatory compliance. Oversee long-term planning and high-value contractual agreements. Act as a key advisor for executive leadership on commissioning and operations strategy. Drive innovation and process optimization across multiple project sites. Provide leadership and coaching to Construction Supervisors and supplemental workforce. Communicate departmental, station, and division goals, validating each performer's ability to impact those goals. Bridge field operations and customer leadership, ensuring alignment among construction crews and project stakeholders. Address logistical challenges, resolve conflicts, and ensure construction activities stay on track. Survey and observe contractor Safety Health and Environment (SHE) practices, providing coaching, direction, and corrective action as needed. Essential Skills Strong understanding of engineering principles related to power plant commissioning. Understanding of SCADA and fiber optics. Understanding of electrical and fiber testing, including TTR, VLF, ODTR, Fall of Potential, VOCs, etc. Ability to work collaboratively with EPC, sub-contractors, operations teams, and other site personnel. Experience in reporting progress, quality control, and safety on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Proficiency in using Unifier to record, name, and upload electrical installation QC photographs. Facilitate the Request for Information (RFI) process with EPC and site engineering. Perform inspections of equipment installations to verify compliance with scope of work and specifications. Help facilitate field commissioning and turnover. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Generation, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 15 years of experience in power plant commissioning working with EPC Contractors, engineering firms, and equipment suppliers. Ability to understand and follow all company rules and policies. Proven ability to create good relationships with EPC and others on site. Work Environment This is a traveling role where the individual will sit remote and travel to various project sites. Safety is the number one priority on all sites, and the role requires understanding and compliance with all company rules and policies. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Juno Beach, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
