We're looking for a number of talented lawyers to join DACB's Corporate Insurance & Risk team in Manchester in our newly created Leisure & Hospitality, Transport & Logistics and Industry Sector practices. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping growing teams while managing a varied caseload of Employer's Liability and Public Liability claims for some of the UK's best-known corporate brands and their Insurers.
We are looking to recruit Associates/Solicitors/CILEX at varying levels of experience. You'll work closely with leading clients, provide technical leadership to colleagues, and have the opportunity to influence the future growth and development of the team.
At DAC Beachcroft, you'll be part of a market-leading claims practice that combines legal expertise, innovation and outstanding client service. Our Corporate Insurance & Risk team advises major organisations across a wide range of sectors, helping them manage complex claims and reduce risk. With over 1,000 colleagues across locations in the UK and Ireland, we're committed to creating an environment where people can develop their careers, broaden their expertise and make a real impact.
What you will do?
You will:
- Manage a varied caseload of pre-litigated and litigated EL/PL claims on behalf of large corporate clients and their Insurers.
- Deliver commercially focused legal advice and claims strategies that align with client objectives.
- Act as a trusted adviser, building strong and lasting relationships with key stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring and support to junior colleagues and paralegals.
- Serve as a technical referral point within the team.
- Support claims reviews, audits and quality assurance activity.
- Identify emerging trends, risks and opportunities, helping clients proactively manage exposure.
- Contribute to client training, claims clinics and relationship management initiatives.
- Support business development activities, including networking, presentations and client events.
- Share knowledge and promote continuous improvement across the team.
- Play an active role in the ongoing growth of the practice, with opportunities to take on increased supervisory and leadership responsibilities over time.
Who you are
We're interested in hearing from motivated legal professionals who bring:
- Strong experience handling EL/PL casualty claims, ideally including for corporate clients with large deductible or self insured retention.
- A practical and commercial approach to claims management and dispute resolution.
- The confidence and credibility to mentor, coach and support others.
- Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and effective technical guidance.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to balance legal risk, cost and commercial outcomes.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Resilience, confidence and a solutions-focused mindset.
- An interest in contributing to the firm's profile through networking, thought leadership and professional engagement.
- A commitment to our values of being Clear, Creative, Determined and Supportive.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team at an early stage, helping to build capability, influence strategy and develop the next generation of talent, while working with high-profile clients on interesting and challenging work. If you're looking for a role where you can combine technical expertise, client engagement and leadership, we'd love to hear from you.
What's in it for you?
