This is a unique opportunity to join SYMCA's South Yorkshire Narrative & Place Brand Team at an exciting stage in the development of a new regional story and identity.
As the first strategic authority in the country to commission a comprehensive internal-to-external place brand of this magnitude, this is a rare opportunity to support a team producing innovative work and setting industry best practice for place branding at national level, whilst raising the international profile of this special part of the world.
Working alongside the Assistant Director and Heads of Service, you will provide vital operational and administrative support to help deliver a high-profile programme that aims to create a shared sense of pride, identity and purpose across South Yorkshire.
You'll be working to support a wide variety of deliverables, including brand development, community research, resident engagement, stakeholder management, launch and activation, and external supplier contracts.
You'll have the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of how a regional place brand is developed, embedded and brought to life through communications, engagement, governance and partnership working.
You'll get the chance to have first-hand experience of embedding a new regional story and place brand in as many ways of working as possible, and you can be a champion of the ways in which it is seen, felt, shared and owned by the whole of South Yorkshire.
If you think that sounds like a lot, that's because it is. We welcome anyone who likes meeting those sorts of things head on, thinks around problems with a human-centric perspective, and loves suggesting new ideas whilst figuring out how to be practical.
Applications must be accompanied by a cover letter to detail how you meet the criteria as detailed within the role profile (please see role profile attached). Please note, all applications should be made directly via our careers portal.
This is expected to be a full-time role; however, flexible working options will be considered for candidates wishing to work at least 32 hours per week.
