Sr Controller - Mortgage Servicing

Are you an experienced finance leader with a strong background in mortgage servicing and enterprise accounting? This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of key financial operations, lead a high-performing accounting team, and drive process improvements within a growing financial services organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead accounting, payroll, and accounts payable functions across multiple business entities.
• Oversee financial reporting, month-end closing, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Manage external audits, regulatory compliance, and internal financial controls.
• Oversee cash flow, balance sheet reconciliations, and debt reporting.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and mortgage servicing accounting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and operational efficiency.
• Develop, mentor, and lead the accounting team.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent professional certification.
• 15+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• At least 10 years in senior accounting roles within mortgage servicing or relevant financial services, including Controller-level experience.
• Proven experience leading teams and managing financial audits.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, mortgage servicing rights (MSR) valuation, investor reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical, leadership, and communication abilities.
