Job Overview

We are looking for a strategic and execution-oriented Sr. Data Product Manager to join our growing Product Management team. This role will shape how Rightworks connects to external data sources, turns data into actionable customer insights, and creates new value through data-driven products and services.

As the Sr. Data Product Manager, you will own the strategy and roadmap across three connected areas: third-party data connections, insights and dashboards, and data monetization. You will identify high-value customer and business problems, define scalable data product capabilities, and partner with Engineering, Data, Design, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and external providers to bring them to market.

This role requires a balance of customer insight, data fluency, commercial thinking, and disciplined execution. Success will be measured by the quality and reliability of data connections, adoption and usefulness of insights, and the creation of sustainable customer and business value from data.

This is a hybrid position, with the potential for up to 3 days per week in our Nashua, NH headquarters depending on location.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and performance for Rightworks data products and capabilities.

  • Lead the strategy and roadmap for third-party data connections, including prioritizing data sources, defining customer use cases, and establishing requirements for secure, reliable, and scalable integrations.

  • Partner with Engineering, Architecture, Security, Legal, and external data providers to define integration requirements, data quality expectations, governance needs, and service-level objectives.

  • Define and evolve customer-facing insights and dashboards that help accounting firms and professionals understand performance, identify opportunities, and take action.

  • Translate complex data into intuitive experiences by defining metrics, data definitions, visualization requirements, drill-down paths, and actionable recommendations.

  • Develop and drive a data monetization strategy, including identifying value pools, validating customer willingness to pay, evaluating packaging and pricing options, and building business cases for new offerings.

  • Lead structured discovery with customers in the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) to validate problems, workflows, data needs, and commercial opportunities.

  • Define and manage success metrics for data products, including connection coverage, data quality, reliability, usage, engagement, customer outcomes, adoption, retention, and revenue contribution.

  • Use product analytics, customer feedback, market signals, and financial insights to prioritize investments and continuously improve the portfolio.

  • Establish clear product requirements and acceptance criteria while partnering closely with delivery teams throughout design, development, launch, and iteration.

  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success on positioning, packaging, go-to-market execution, enablement, and adoption.

  • Manage internal and external stakeholders, clearly communicating priorities, tradeoffs, dependencies, risks, and expected outcomes.

  • Stay current on data product, analytics, integration, privacy, and industry trends to identify emerging opportunities and risks.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Sr Product Management, Data Product Management, Analytics Product Management, or a related role.

  • Experience defining and delivering data products, analytics capabilities, dashboards, or business intelligence experiences.

  • Experience with third-party data integrations, APIs, data partnerships, or platform ecosystems, with the ability to translate business needs into product requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to define metrics, interpret data, assess data quality, and use quantitative and qualitative insights to make product decisions.

  • Experience evaluating commercial opportunities and developing business cases, packaging, pricing, or monetization strategies for products or data-driven services.

  • Strong customer discovery, problem framing, prioritization, and roadmap management skills.

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Data, Design, Security, Legal, Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.

  • Strong written, verbal, and executive communication skills, including the ability to make complex data concepts clear and actionable.

  • Familiarity with product development and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, data analytics, information systems, or a related field preferred.

Eligibility Requirements

  • This role is open to US Citizens or permanent residents authorized to work in the United States. Rightworks LLC is unable to offer visa sponsorship.

  • Due to specific state regulations, we are unable to accept applications from residents of California, Hawaii, or Alaska.

  • Relocation will not be offered for this position.

Compensation

Our Compensation range for this role ranges from $150,000 to $175,000 annually, and is determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, and internal equity.
