Sr Epicor Kinetic Technical Consultant

This is a remote position.

Our client, a manufacturer with aerospace and construction divisions, is implementing Epicor Kinetic across manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and financials. The aerospace division makes rigid and flexible tubing for military and commercial aircraft engines. The construction division makes HVAC components.

We are looking for a senior Kinetic developer to serve as a technical advisor and player-coach alongside the client’s in-house development team. You will set the technical direction, establish best practices, and personally build the most complex pieces, while helping the client’s developers become self-sufficient for post-go-live support.

There are two openings:

• Aerospace division (about 50% capacity): High-level design is complete, and detailed design wraps up within the next month. Your effort will be heaviest during the development and testing phases, then taper off. Go-live is targeted for about a year out. This role combines advisory work with meaningful hands-on development.
  
• HVAC division (about 25% capacity): A lighter, mostly advisory role focused on coaching, mentorship, and development standards, with little hands-on work.
  

Key responsibilities:

• Act as senior technical advisor to the client’s Kinetic developers on interfaces, data conversion, enhancements, and reporting.
  
• Recommend the right tools and technical approach for each development object.
  
• Establish and share development and documentation standards and best practices.
  
• Personally design and build the most complex interfaces, conversions, and enhancements.
  
• Review the client team’s work and provide practical guidance as questions come up.
  
• Document solutions clearly so the client’s team can support and maintain them after go-live.
  
• Take part in detailed design sessions to help define development requirements.
  

Requirements

Required:

• Senior-level Epicor Kinetic development experience across multiple full implementations
  
• Strong expertise in Kinetic interfaces and integrations, including REST API
  
• Hands-on experience with data conversion using DMT and SQL Server
  
• Proficiency with BPMs, BAQs, Kinetic UI customization, SSRS reports, and dashboards
  
• Solid functional understanding of Epicor manufacturing, supply chain, and financials
  
• Proven ability to mentor and guide less experienced developers
  
• Strong documentation habits and the ability to set technical standards
  
• Ability to manage a part-time commitment alongside other work
  

Preferred:

• Experience in aerospace or other regulated manufacturing environments, including quality and traceability requirements
  
• Experience in HVAC, construction products, or industrial manufacturing
  
• Prior experience in a technical lead, architect, or advisory role on Kinetic implementations
  
• Experience leading development through design, testing, and go-live phases
