You will design, develop, and integrate applications and data solutions, provide ongoing support for moderately to highly complex systems, and contribute to major initiatives such as an endtoend procurement implementation and the upgrade from GP to Microsoft Dynamics. The team primarily supports backend applications for HR and Finance, and the position is also open to strong junior candidates who are eager to grow into a Lead role within a tenured, collaborative team.
Responsibilities

- Assist in estimating effort, sizing work, and contributing to the development of realistic project timelines.
- Identify, refine, and document system and business requirements for new and existing applications.
- Comply with established architecture processes, principles, policies, and standards in all solution designs.
- Contribute to buy-versus-build recommendations, including evaluation of system options, risks, cost-benefit tradeoffs, and impacts on business processes and goals.
- Evaluate and provide recommendations for application packages when appropriate.
- Design moderately complex technical solutions that meet business needs and align with architectural standards.
- Develop detailed technical specifications for applications and recommend when to create new code versus reusing existing components.
- Identify best data sources and collaborate with data architects to ensure feasibility and alignment with corporate data sources.
- Extract data from multiple sources, design and implement complex data transformations, and load transformed data into information management systems.
- Adjust data processes and transformations to maximize the efficiency and performance of business user queries.
- Utilize development platforms, middleware tools, and software frameworks to design and develop application solutions.
- Develop or modify application components using disciplined software development processes and industry best practices.
- Adhere to quality standards and procedures, and participate in software inspections, code reviews, and quality assurance activities.
- Use modern testing practices, build unit tests, and conduct functional and integration testing to ensure applications meet specifications.
- Implement and execute integration test plans in collaboration with the team.
- Document new or modified components, testing activities and results, error handling approaches, and backup and recovery procedures.
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support for existing applications, including enhancements and optimizations.
- Analyze existing applications to identify and document opportunities for improvements in performance, usability, or functionality.
- Prepare application releases for test and production environments, validate deployments, and communicate changes to stakeholders.
- Provide Tier II application support and, when needed, Tier III level support by troubleshooting systems, identifying errors or deficiencies, and developing solutions.
- Deliver solutions as part of a team using agile or waterfall methodologies, depending on project needs.
- Actively participate in feedback sessions and retrospectives, offering constructive input to help the team continuously improve.
- Provide technical coaching and mentoring to less experienced team members to support their growth and development.
- Support initiatives related to finance technology, finance data, and the upgrade from GP to Microsoft Dynamics, including an endtoend procurement system implementation.
- Perform other related responsibilities and duties as assigned.
