Sr Frontend Engineer

We are seeking a talented and passionate Software Engineer specialising in frontend development to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the user interface of our web applications. You will work closely with our design and backend teams to deliver intuitive and visually appealing user experiences. About the role At SigNoz, you will be building a world-class deep tech infra product. We are building an open-source observability platform. You will be building a system that can handle 1M events per sec. You will be part of the first few hires in our team and will have the opportunity to own a significant part of the product. Here's our Github repo As a SigNoz Frontend Engineer, you will: Own and drive end-to-end development of critical observability features that help teams of all sizes understand their systems better. Transform complex requirements into elegant solutions, implement robust UIs, and ensure your features perform flawlessly in production Build powerful visualization experiences that make data exploration intuitive and delightful. Craft reusable components for exploring metrics, traces, and logs that help users quickly solve production issues and understand system behavior Architect and maintain our core design system - creating consistent, accessible, and performant components that accelerate feature development while ensuring a world-class experience for users of all technical backgrounds Take ownership of application performance at scale - implementing efficient solutions for real-time data streaming, complex visualizations, and interactive debugging tools while maintaining smooth user experience across all scenarios Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to build impactful solutions. Champion engineering excellence through thoughtful code reviews, comprehensive testing, and detailed documentation while contributing to our vibrant open-source community Our ideal candidate should have: Growth mindset and passion for getting things done - you take ownership of features, collaborate effectively across teams, and aren't afraid to dive deep into new technologies to find the best solutions Strong fundamentals in JavaScript and React - from core concepts like hooks, context API, and component lifecycle to advanced patterns for building scalable applications. You write clean, maintainable code that solves real user problems Deep understanding of frontend architecture and engineering principles - you can design reusable components, implement clean abstractions, and make thoughtful technical decisions that improve both user and developer experience Solid grasp of TypeScript and modern frontend tooling (Webpack/Vite). You value type safety and leverage the ecosystem to build robust applications while maintaining high code quality through testing (Jest/RTL) 3+ years of experience building web applications with a focus on performance and scalability.
