Role Description The Sr. NestJS Developer role is a full-time remote position responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services that power PPStack’s digital learning and career platforms. Day-to-day tasks include implementing RESTful and GraphQL APIs using NestJS, integrating third-party services, optimizing performance, and ensuring robust security and reliability of microservices. The role involves collaborating closely with product managers, frontend engineers, data teams, and AI specialists to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The Sr. NestJS Developer will also review code, mentor other developers, contribute to architectural decisions, and maintain high standards of testing, documentation, and DevOps practices to support continuous delivery.
Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in NestJS and Node.js, with experience building scalable, modular backend applications and APIs.
• Solid understanding of TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern backend architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven systems, domain-driven design).
• Hands-on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), including schema design and query optimization.
• Knowledge of API design and integration, including REST, GraphQL, authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth), and API versioning.
• Experience with testing frameworks and quality practices (e.g., Jest, unit/integration testing, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and DevOps tools (e.g., AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar technologies).
• Understanding of security best practices, performance tuning, logging, and monitoring for production-grade backend systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team environment, with clear communication and collaborative problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Previous experience in EdTech, AI-powered platforms, or data-driven applications is a plus, along with an interest in education and career transformation.
