Staff DevOps Engineer

Job Description This is a remote position. We are looking for a Staff DevOps Engineer to join a strategic cloud platform transformation programme focused on building scalable, secure, and highly automated cloud infrastructure. This is a senior technical leadership role centred on platform architecture, infrastructure strategy, developer experience, and engineering excellence rather than day-to-day operational support. The position is suited for engineers operating at Staff, Principal, or equivalent level who can combine deep technical expertise with architectural ownership, technical leadership, and mentoring across multiple engineering teams. Responsibilities • Define and drive cloud platform architecture and infrastructure strategy • Design highly automated deployment and CI/CD platforms • Standardise infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code • Improve developer experience through modern SDLC tooling • Design scalable Kubernetes based platforms • Build secure, highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS • Define networking and service mesh architecture • Implement security automation and compliance controls • Build monitoring, observability and operational excellence frameworks • Lead architectural discussions and engineering decision making • Mentor engineers and establish engineering best practices • Partner with development teams to improve software delivery processes Requirements • Experience operating at Staff , Principal or equivalent senior engineering level • Strong experience designing large scale cloud platforms • Expert knowledge of AWS • Expert knowledge of Terraform • Strong production experience with Kubernetes • Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills • Deep understanding of networking, VPCs and service mesh architecture • Experience building CI/CD platforms using GitHub Actions and Jenkins • Experience with Helm , ArgoCD , Harbor , Nexus and container platforms • Strong Infrastructure as Code experience • Experience implementing security automation, RBAC and secrets management • Experience with observability platforms including Prometheus , Grafana and logging solutions • Strong system design and architecture skills • Excellent communication and mentoring abilities • Fluent English Nice to have • Ansible • Python • Bash • Makefiles • RabbitMQ • SQS • PostgreSQL • Redis • Ignite • NGINX • HAProxy • SonarQube • Trivy • GitHub Administration • Experience supporting JVM or TypeScript based development platforms Benefits • Fully remote work model • ​ Solid, competitive salary • Work in a multinational environment on international projects • Comprehensive healthcare • Long-term B2B contract with a stable project pipeline
