Develop detailed cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions for commercial and industrial projects. Identify discrepancies, missing information, and potential risks in project documentation and raise RFIs where required. Research and assess material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs to develop competitive and accurate estimates. Apply appropriate quantities, rates, productivity assumptions, and allowances when preparing estimates. Assist with initial project planning, including expected work sequences, resource requirements, and baseline timelines. Work with internal operations and project stakeholders to ensure estimates can be effectively transitioned into project execution. Maintain accurate estimating records and update pricing information as required. Support budgeting and cost planning throughout the project lifecycle. Competencies and Qualifications Must-Have 3+ years of experience in structural concrete estimating, reinforcement estimating, quantity surveying, or a closely related construction estimating role. Strong ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and engineering drawings. Hands-on experience preparing quantity take-offs, cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions. Understanding of reinforcement, concrete quantities, construction methods, labor requirements, and project costs. Strong Excel skills and familiarity with digital estimating/take-off tools such as Bluebeam or similar software. Ability to identify gaps or inconsistencies in drawings and project documentation and raise appropriate RFIs. Strong understanding of construction estimating principles and commercial considerations. Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy. Nice-to-Have Previous experience working on Australian construction or structural concrete projects.
