Role Description The Structural Steel Detailer/Modeller is a full-time, REMOTE role. The role involves preparing detailed shop drawings and erection plans for structural steel and rebar, using industry-standard CAD/BIM software and following project specifications and codes. The detailer/modeller reviews and interprets architectural and structural drawings, coordinates with engineers, project managers, and fabricators, and updates models and drawings based on design changes or field conditions. Daily tasks include checking dimensions and connections for accuracy, performing basic clash checks, organizing drawing sets for submission, and adhering to internal quality control procedures. The role also requires maintaining clear documentation, meeting project deadlines, and supporting the team with technical input throughout the detailing and modeling process.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in steel detailing for Steel Structures, with the ability to interpret and apply design and construction standards.
• Experience preparing accurate Shop Drawings for fabrication and erection, including connection details and material lists.
• Ability to read and interpret Architectural Drawings and structural plans to coordinate steel layouts.
• Hands-on experience with Tekla Structures.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to follow project specifications, fabricator standard and relevant codes.
• Demonstrates the ability to understand, follow, and execute instructions accurately and efficiently.
• Completes assigned tasks according to established procedures, seeks clarification when needed, and maintains attention to detail to ensure requirements are met.
• Relevant technical diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; 5years experience in structural steel detailing using Tekla structure is highly preferred.
