Would you like to kickstart your career within finance, controlling and CFO Services while gaining hands-on experience with ambitious growth companies?
At Atlab, we are looking for our next Student Assistant to join our CFO Services Outsourcing team for 20–25 hours per week.
You will work with a diverse portfolio of clients – from biotech companies and scale-ups to private equity-owned businesses – supporting them in operating and developing their finance functions.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a Student Assistant in our CFO Services Outsourcing team, you will support the day-to-day operations of our clients' finance functions while also contributing to the development of their processes, structures and ways of working.
You will work closely with experienced Controllers and CFOs, gaining hands-on experience across accounting, reporting and financial processes while gradually developing your capabilities within controlling, analysis and broader financial engine room.
You will be based at our office at Islands Brygge, where you will carry out a significant part of your client’s work in close collaboration with our CFO Services team.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Performing bookkeeping and accounting tasks for small and medium-sized clients, including postings, reconciliations, payments, VAT handling and document processing
- Handling ongoing client communication regarding practical finance-related matters and becoming a trusted point of contact for day-to-day needs
- Preparing materials for month-end processes, reporting and internal workflows
- Supporting the development and improvement of finance processes, templates and workflows for clients
- Supporting ad-hoc tasks related to financial operations, data collection and financial management
- Gradually taking on more advanced responsibilities within controlling, reporting and analytical tasks as your experience develops
- Supporting the implementation of new systems and solutions that strengthen and streamline clients' finance processes and, where relevant, internal controls
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, takes ownership and enjoys working closely with both clients and colleagues.
We imagine that you:
- Are currently pursuing a relevant master's degree in finance, business economics, accounting, or a related field, ideally in the early stages of your studies
- Have an interest in accounting, controlling and financial reporting
- Communicate clearly and professionally in both Danish and English
- Have a strong sense of curiosity and the motivation to deliver high-quality work
