Summer Intern - Environment Health & Safety

About the role:

As an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) intern, you will directly help maintain a safe and healthful work environment and mitigating environmental impacts.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Fuel Manufacturing EHS located at our Cranberry, PA facility. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer, May - August 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will travel throughout Western Pennsylvania sites as required
• Additional travel opportunities
• You will help develop and implement Health and Safety standards and programs
• Participate in EHS team meetings; present on EHS topics and project progress
• Conduct hazard assessments, and make recommendations for mitigations
• Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices for regulatory compliance
• Participate in accident investigations to identify causes and corrective actions.
• Work as part of an inspection or audit team
• Develop safety briefs, communication and training materials and provide training to improve EHS knowledge
• Analyze data, suggest corrective actions, develop reports

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety, industrial hygiene, fire or similar
• Completed Sophomore year of college
• Completed occupational safety, environmental or industrial hygiene coursework
• Reliable transportation for commuting to and from work locations (<50 miles)

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $23.00 to $26.30 per hour.
