What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage a portfolio of superannuation insurance claims, ensuring claims are assessed and progressed within agreed timeframes.
  • Develop and implement effective claims management and member communication strategies to achieve positive member outcomes.
  • Assess and manage TPD, Income Protection, Terminal Illness and Death Benefit claims in accordance with relevant legislation, fund rules and regulatory requirements.
  • Support members, their representatives and beneficiaries throughout the claims process, providing clear, compassionate and professional communication.
  • Deliver difficult or adverse claim outcomes with empathy, professionalism and a solution-focused approach.
  • Maintain accurate claim records, file notes and written correspondence.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective and timely claims management.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who combines strong claims management capability with a genuine commitment to delivering positive member experiences.

Do you have:

  • Previous experience in superannuation, life insurance or personal injury claims management.
  • A sound understanding of claims processes, relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including a confident and professional phone manner.
  • The ability to manage sensitive conversations and deliver difficult outcomes with empathy and professionalism.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records and prepare clear written correspondence.
  • A genuine passion for supporting members and their families during challenging times.
  • Experience in superannuation or life insurance claims will be highly regarded.
