About the Role

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Supply chain and Logistics Leader is on offer to make a genuine impact. You’ll take ownership of end-to-end supply chain and logistics performance, spanning planning, procurement, warehousing and distribution.

For a leader who enjoys bringing structure to complexity, developing people and translating strategy into practical operational outcomes, this is an opportunity to make a visible and lasting impact. The role sits at Leader of Teams level and reports to the Head of Logistics, Fleet & Logistics.

You’ll bring together people, processes, data and operational disciplines to create a more integrated and responsive supply chain, while balancing service, cost, inventory and safety outcomes.

The role can be based from Somersby Depot (main warehouse location), or the Wallsend/Central Coast area, with travel across our operational locations as required. We also have a head office in Newcastle and Sydney (Haymarket), where this role can be based but travel to the main Somersby Depot and surrounding assets will be required.

What You'll Be Doing

This is a broad operational leadership role with two direct reports where you will have the opportunity to influence both day-to-day performance and longer-term transformation.

  • Lead end-to-end supply chain and logistics performance across planning, ordering, storage, distribution and delivery.
  • Drive improvements in efficiency, productivity and operational performance.
  • Strengthen integrated planning, forecasting and demand management across supply chain, logistics and fleet operations.
  • Establish clear performance disciplines and operating rhythms, using KPIs and data to improve decision-making.
  • Lead safe and effective warehouse, logistics and fleet operations.
  • Oversee inventory planning and control, supplier performance, materials handling, distribution and field logistics.
  • Work closely across Procurement, Capital Delivery, Fleet, Engineering, Asset Management, Finance, Technology and operational teams to deliver better business outcomes.
  • Optimise supplier and contract performance while balancing service levels, inventory requirements and cost.
  • Build capability across forecasting, planning, logistics and warehouse teams, creating an environment of accountability and continuous improvement.

You’ll Bring

You’re an experienced supply chain, logistics or operational leader who knows how to move an operation forward, not simply maintain the status quo.

  • Extensive leadership experience across logistics, warehousing or end-to-end supply chain operations.
  • Strong experience across forecasting, planning, warehousing, inventory and distribution.
  • Demonstrated success delivering continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Experience leading complex operational teams and frontline leaders.
  • Strong capability in integrated business planning, performance frameworks and KPI disciplines.
  • Commercial experience managing suppliers, operational service contracts, budgets and costs.
  • A strong understanding of safety and compliance within operational and logistics environments.
  • Problem solver through data, and courage to challenge existing ways of working.
  • Strong stakeholder and influencing skills.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations Management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
