POSITION OVERVIEW Fishwife works with a global network of canneries and co-manufacturers. That makes supply planning and purchasing the link between demand and revenue, and this role owns it. The Supply Planner turns the demand plan into action, placing and owning every purchase order across our canneries, co-manufacturers, packaging suppliers, and merchandise suppliers, and holding those partners to the readiness dates the plan depends on. When an order is at risk, you’ll be the first to know and the fastest to respond. You’ll also lead the supply side of our monthly S&OP process, so the plan you build is the plan the company and our supply partners commit to. This is a builder role. You’ll inherit trackers and spreadsheets, and you’ll be expected to replace them with something that still works when our volume doubles. If you like owning a number, working with partners on multiple continents, and being the reason a product never goes out of stock, this is the job. This position is a full-time, remote role reporting to the Inventory & Reporting Senior Manager. SCOPE OF OWNERSHIP The supply plan: replenishment, coverage, and safety stock targets by SKU and channel Supplier and co-manufacturer readiness timelines, lead times, ship dates, and production commitments Expediting and recovery whenever an order puts the production or inventory plan at risk Supply inputs to the monthly S&OP process, and purchasing data accuracy in Cin7 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Production and Supply Planning Book capacity and production slots with canneries and co-manufacturers ahead of demand rather than in reaction to it Model the tradeoffs between the demand plan and the production plan at both component and finished goods level, and document the coverage and safety stock assumptions behind each buy Own the supply side of monthly S&OP: what we planned to buy, what we bought, the variance, and what that variance means for cash Oversee every PO from placement to confirmation to receipt, verifying quantities, pricing, terms, and dates with the supplier and reconciling every confirmation against what we ordered Accountable for every purchase order in Cin7 and the accuracy of the PO record as the single source of truth on status, quantity, and dates, current daily rather than weekly Supplier and Co-Manufacturer Readiness Track lead times, ready dates, ship dates, and production commitments across the network, and hold partners to them Flag supply delays and readiness gaps to planning early, with a recommendation rather than only a warning Expedite, resequence, split, or cut at-risk orders to protect the plan, and state plainly what each option costs Build and run an on-time, in-full scorecard so partner performance is measured rather than remembered Systems, Reporting, and Cross-Functional Work Own purchasing transactions in Cin7: PO records, receipts, lead times, and supplier data Work with Fulfillment and Logistics on inbound freight timing, so a confirmed ready date becomes a landed receipt Work with Finance on purchase timing, landed cost, and the cash impact of the buy plan Partner with Procurement on the supplier relationships, pricing, and sourcing decisions sitting behind the orders you place Work with Product Development and Quality on new item timelines and first production runs Work with Sales and Marketing on channel timing and launch dates across wholesale, e-commerce, Amazon, direct independent, and club REQUIREMENTS 3 to 5 years in supply planning, production planning, buying, or procurement in CPG, with food and beverage a plus Has personally placed and chased purchase orders end to end, from the buy quantity decision through receipt, rather than only reporting on them Hands-on ERP experience with purchasing transactions (Cin7 strongly preferred, NetSuite or similar acceptable), including how POs, receipts, and BOMs actually behave in the system Strong planning math: coverage, days of supply, safety stock, minimum order quantity, and lot sizing, built in Excel or Google Sheets without help Comfortable with international suppliers, multi-week ocean lead times, and the coordination a global supply base demands Able to carry a high volume of order-level detail across dozens of open POs without losing any of it Written communication that holds up with an external partner: clear, specific, warm, and firm on dates Detail-obsessed, organized, and energized by building cleaner systems in a fast-moving, high-growth environment Tools Cin7 (ERP), WMS, SPS Commerce (EDI), QuickBooks, Google Sheets, Notion, FoodLogiQ Nice to have Seafood or another supply chain with seasonality and biological constraints Co-manufacturer or contract packing environment EDI (SPS Commerce), WMS, or QuickBooks exposure Experience with S&OP, inventory reconciliation, and supplier scorecarding A habit of automating anything you have had to do manually more than twice FISHWIFE VALUES At Fishwife, our four core values shape both our daily actions and our long-term vision.
