Job Title: Synergi Life Support

Role Description

AZOROM has an ongoing contract with ESB and wishes to fill this present position.

Synergi Life is an organisation-wide Safety, Health and Environmental system requiring ongoing product ownership, vendor coordination, environment management, testing, governance, user support, communications and training. Group Safety is also progressing a significant programme of contractor safety work. The current delivery model is heavily dependent on one Product Owner, who is expected to manage programme delivery alongside operational support and the annual upgrade cycle.

This concentration of responsibilities creates a single point of failure, limits the capacity available for planned improvements and increases the risk of delays across testing, stakeholder engagement, business analysis, documentation, change support and implementation. Temporary delivery capacity is required to create resilience and allow the Product Owner to retain oversight of key decisions, risks and approvals while practical delivery tasks are progressed in parallel.

This role is to provide hands-on support for Synergi Life delivery, adoption and change activities across SHE. The resource will help manage and progress the backlog with the Product Owner, use system usage insights to identify opportunities for improved adoption, strengthen governance and communications, re-energise the Champion Network, and enhance learning materials for key Synergi Life processes and functionality and support the delivery of the annual Synergi Life upgrade where appropriate.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively across Group Safety and other business units to coordinate delivery activities, maintain key governance records, develop communications and guidance, analyse adoption trends. The Product Owner will retain oversight of key decisions, risks and approvals. This position requires a versatile individual with practical technical and data capability, alongside strong communication skills and experience creating guidance, training and support materials; deep technical expertise is not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the backlog of Synergi Life items and delivery with the Product Owner.
  • Work with the Product Owner to analyse system usage trends, identify opportunities to improve adoption and usage, and propose practical approaches to drive improved adoption.
  • Develop guides and communications to align business units on a redefined Synergi Life governance model.
  • Create a roadmap for monthly communications covering different Synergi Life topics and develop material for each communications drop, building progressively on previous content.
  • Re-engage and strengthen the Synergi Life Champion Network, including agreeing a Champion structure, creating Champion role descriptions and guidance materials, and developing manager guidance on the benefits of Champions.
  • Review existing training material and adapt it where required.
  • Enhance and create learning content for Incident Management, Audit Management, Dashboards and Reporting.
  • Produce practical learning resources such as training videos, user guides and quick-reference materials.
  • Develop communications and learning material appropriate for audiences ranging from SHE Managers and other managers through to end users.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

This role requires a proactive, organised and solutions-focused individual with practical technical and data capability, strong communication skills, and experience creating guidance, training and support materials. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and collaborate effectively with Group Safety and other business units; deep technical expertise is not required.

Essential

  • Excellent written communication skills, with experience producing user guidance, briefings and learning content.
  • Strong stakeholder coordination skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and follow actions through to completion.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, identify practical solutions and escalate material issues appropriately.
  • High attention to detail and a structured approach to delivery, governance and information handling.
  • Competence in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Experience/knowledge working with systems and data.

Desirable

  • Change management experience
