System Administrator

This is a remote position.

• System Maintenance: Execute routine maintenance tasks, including software updates, system backups, and hardware maintenance, to maintain peak system performance.
  
• Server Mastery: Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Windows and/or Linux servers, ensuring they remain secure and perform optimally.
  
• Network Wizardry: Manage and monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, to guarantee uninterrupted connectivity.
  
• Implement and maintain robust security protocols, encompassing access controls, firewalls, antivirus solutions, and intrusion detection systems, to safeguard sensitive data.
  
• Provide advanced technical support to end-users, resolving complex hardware and software issues swiftly and effectively.
  
• Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure business continuity in the face of system failures or data loss.
  
• Create and update detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures, facilitating knowledge sharing and training.
  
• Diagnose and resolve intricate hardware and software problems, network connectivity issues, and system errors with precision.
  
• Monitor system performance, predict capacity requirements, and recommend upgrades or optimizations as necessary
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  
• Extensive hands-on experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role.
  
• Proficiency in Windows and/or Linux server administration, including command-line proficiency.
  
• Deep understanding of network protocols, routing, and network security practices.
  
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  
• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  
• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  
• Effective communication and collaboration capabilities within cross-functional teams
