About the Client
Our client operates in the technology sector, with a focus on cloud infrastructure and systems performance.
About the Role
We're looking for a Systems Administrator to manage and optimize our cloud infrastructure
across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role combines hands-on cloud
administration with performance engineering, ensuring our multi-cloud environment runs
reliably, securely, and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure Administration
Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud-based compute instances across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Administer identity and access management, network configurations, storage resources, and security groups across cloud environments.
Monitor infrastructure health, availability, and resource utilization, investigating and responding to incidents or service disruptions.
Perform system patching, software updates, and security hardening to maintain infrastructure integrity.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and infrastructure guidelines.
Identify opportunities to improve cloud cost efficiency through resource rightsizing, reserved instances, and autoscaling configurations.
Automate recurring administrative tasks using Bash, Python, or PowerShell, along with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM/Bicep.
Performance Benchmarking
Plan and conduct performance tests across cloud compute, storage, and network resources.
Develop reusable benchmarking scripts and automated testing pipelines, ensuring testing procedures are consistently documented.
Evaluate benchmarking results and prepare reports outlining findings, performance gaps, and recommended improvements.
Monitor performance metrics over time to identify unusual behavior, degradation, or regressions.
Work with engineering teams to apply performance findings to infrastructure planning and technical decisions.
Required Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience managing and administering cloud infrastructure in production environments.
Hands-on experience with at least two of the following platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Experience across all three is strongly preferred.
Strong proficiency in Linux server administration.
Practical experience with scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
Familiarity with performance benchmarking and testing tools, such as sysbench, fio, iperf, Geekbench, and cloud-native monitoring utilities.
Understanding of cloud networking, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and cloud security fundamentals.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to interpret technical results and communicate findings and recommendations clearly to management.
Bonus Qualifications
Cloud certifications (AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator
Associate, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, etc.)
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates)
Familiarity with monitoring/observability platforms (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor,
Google Cloud Operations, Datadog, Grafana)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Working Conditions
100% remote work
Night shift schedule during the initial months; schedule may become more flexible after the probationary period.
