Digital Systems Architect – AI Silicon

Cognicatus develops high-performance chips and IPs for AI on cutting-edge process nodes. We are a small, fast-moving team where every engineer has a direct hand in what ends up on silicon.

We are looking for a Digital Systems Architect to help define how our chips are built.

What you will do

• Lead the top-level architecture definition and implementation
• Evaluate architectural trade-offs around performance, power, and area
• Break down product requirements into implementable digital designs
• Support design and verification teams throughout implementation
• Align architecture decisions with stakeholders and engineering teams
• Build engineering practices and standards

What you bring

• 8+ years of experience in digital ASIC development
• Proven ability to turn complex systems into clear requirements and architecture
• Experience leading/managing complex technical projects
• Ability to collaborate easily across teams
• Comfortable stepping out of your role when needed
• Strong written and spoken English
• Good communication skills

Nice to have

• Experience with high-performance digital systems (CPU/GPU, Serdes) and/or memory controllers (DRAM/HBM)
• Experience in advanced process nodes (FinFET, GAA)
• Experience in startup/scale-up environments
