Role Overview
We are looking for a System Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our cloud and container infrastructure. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across Linux operating systems, container orchestration platforms, and AWS cloud environments, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and highly available.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, highly available infrastructure utilizing core AWS services (EC2, EKS, IAM, S3)
• Administration and support of: Enterprise Linux operating systems (RedHat/Oracle Linux, Ubuntu), Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes clusters, AWS-managed container solutions (EKS)
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of cloud and container infrastructure platforms
• Participation in capacity planning, cost optimization, upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives
• Ensure high availability, resilience, security, and compliance of systems through OS hardening, AWS IAM policies, and network security groups
• Drive automation by provisioning and managing AWS resources using Terraform or Ansible; maintain and follow operational procedures, documentation, and change management processes
• Create and deliver technical documentation, proposals, and presentations to internal stakeholders and external partners
• Partner with Dev and DevOps teams to ensure smooth application deployment pipelines and infrastructure resilience, overseeing project and resource planning from initiation through successful completion

What You'll Bring

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering or Cloud Operations
• Strong technical expertise in AWS cloud environments, with a proven track record configuring and managing production workloads
• Advanced Linux administration skills, deep understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, routing), and strong scripting abilities (Bash, Python)
• Hands-on experience orchestrating containers with OpenShift or Kubernetes in enterprise settings
• Practical experience with infrastructure automation tools, specifically Terraform and Ansible
• Solid understanding of IT service management, change control, and operational governance
• Ability to work effectively with technical teams, management, and third-party vendors
