WORKING MODEL: 4 days onsite and 1 day working from home

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced System Engineer – Cloud & Hosting to join an enterprise IT infrastructure project for a leading aviation organization in Japan, focusing on managing and maintaining enterprise infrastructure to ensure system stability, security, and reliability, with strong hands-on experience in system administration, virtualization, Windows Server, storage, backup, and disaster recovery.

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud and hosting infrastructure.
  • Manage and administer VMware vSphere / Hyper-V environments.
  • Perform Windows Server administration, including Active Directory (AD), Group Policy (GPO), and SCCM.
  • Manage server infrastructure, storage, backup, and recovery systems.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
  • Support infrastructure migration, system upgrades, and maintenance activities.
  • Implement and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
  • Work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure smooth IT operations.

Required Skills And Experience

  • At least 8 years of experience in System Administration, Infrastructure Engineering, or Cloud & Hosting.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • VMware vSphere / Hyper-V
    • Windows Server and Active Directory
    • Group Policy (GPO) and Microsoft SCCM
    • Storage and Backup Administration
    • High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR)
    • Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Operations
    • SQL Server installation and configuration
    • Citrix / Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
  • Good troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Japanese proficiency at JLPT N2 level and above and working-level English.
NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform.
  • Experience with ITIL or IT service management.
  • Familiarity with enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, or NetBackup.
  • Knowledge of cloud security and compliance.
  • Experience supporting global infrastructure or multinational organizations.
  • Experience in the aviation or aerospace industry is an advantage.
