Show job description

SGS is the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company. SGS is recognised as the global benchmark for quality and integrity. We support governments, government agencies and the private sector on trade facilitation, reducing complexity in global supply chains, securing duties and taxes, and verifying the compliance of products with regulations.

Position Purpose

The Talent Acquisition Operations Advisor plays a key role in delivering high-quality, compliant, and efficient Talent Acquisition services for North America from the GBS Americas Center in Bogotá. This position works closely with Lead Recruiters in North America, who are responsible for conducting interviews, managing relationships with hiring managers, leading intake meetings, and overseeing overall recruitment process performance.

Your primary responsibility is to ensure that all upstream activities—including sourcing support, candidate pipeline quality, offer preparation, compliance checks, and pre-employment data accuracy—are carried out with precision and consistency. As a recruitment process specialist within GBS, you ensure the integrity of offer management and pre-employment workflows, safeguard legal and contractual compliance, and serve as the custodian of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across the region.

This role is essential to ensuring a seamless transition between GBS and North America while maintaining an exceptional experience for both candidates and hiring managers.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing and Market Intelligence

You support Lead Recruiters in North America by conducting market research, competitor analysis, and sourcing channel assessments. You contribute to strengthening the top of the recruitment funnel by ensuring that candidate pipelines are relevant, diverse, and aligned with job requirements before the interview stage.

Your insights enable recruiters to advise hiring managers using up-to-date talent market and compensation information.

Offer Management and Compliance Accountability

You manage the end-to-end offer process, ensuring that all documentation complies with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) requirements, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) regulations, applicable U.S. state-specific regulations, and Canadian provincial laws.

As the final checkpoint for offer accuracy and compliance, you ensure error-free execution and maintain audit-ready documentation.

You are responsible for the quality, accuracy, and governance of all offer-related data within SmartRecruiters and HR systems.

Support for Lead Recruiters and Hiring Managers

While Lead Recruiters in North America lead interviews, stakeholder interactions, and recruitment process performance discussions, you collaborate with them by participating in intake meetings when required, providing market intelligence, validating job requirements, and reviewing requisition data quality.

Over time, you will develop expertise in specific SGS business lines, strengthening your ability to provide specialized recruitment support.

Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement

You monitor operational Service Level Agreement (SLA) metrics, such as approval turnaround times, offer preparation timelines, and DocuSign signature completion times.

You identify bottlenecks, recommend improvements, and contribute to the standardization of Talent Acquisition and pre-employment practices across North America.

You also support automation initiatives, template optimization, and improvements to hiring workflows across all supported business units.

Cross-Regional Collaboration

As part of GBS Americas, you collaborate daily with Lead Recruiters in North America, as well as HR, Legal, and Payroll teams.

You ensure alignment with global Talent Acquisition policies and regional Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

You also contribute to knowledge management by maintaining documentation and ensuring the consistent application of approved processes.

Candidate Profile

Experience

A minimum of 3 years of experience in Talent Acquisition Operations or Recruitment Coordination within a multinational environment, shared services center, or executive search firm.

Experience working with the U.S. and/or Canadian markets is mandatory due to regulatory complexities and accuracy requirements. Previous experience in HR Operations is considered an asset.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field.

Languages

Proficiency in English (B2 level), with the ability to accurately interpret legal and contractual documentation.

For Canadian operations: Proficiency in French, with an equivalent ability to interpret legal and contractual documentation.

Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), preferably SmartRecruiters, along with solid experience using DocuSign or other offer management automation platforms.

Advanced Excel skills or experience in data analysis and reporting are considered an asset.

Behavioral Competencies

Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, a high level of reliability and discretion, and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams across multiple functions and regions.

Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic, and constantly evolving environment.
