A leading international financial services organisation is seeking a Tax Specialist to support its Irish and Luxembourg fund and SPV platforms across tax compliance, reporting and governance.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a broad, cross-jurisdictional tax framework, covering corporation tax, VAT, FATCA/CRS and tax governance. The successful candidate will also assume the Responsible Officer (RO) designation for FATCA/CRS at fund level.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role offers significant autonomy, exposure to complex fund structures and the opportunity to enhance and standardise tax processes across multiple entities and jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

FATCA/CRS & Tax Governance

  • Act as FATCA/CRS Responsible Officer across fund structures.
  • Oversee classification, due diligence, reporting and governance requirements.
  • Monitor investor due diligence processes and maintain appropriate audit trails.
  • Support tax governance across international fund vehicles.

Irish Tax Compliance

  • Coordinate corporation tax returns for Irish entities, liaising with external tax advisors.
  • Manage VAT registrations, filings and review of VAT treatment across funds and SPVs.
  • Act as the primary operational contact for Irish Revenue, managing correspondence, compliance reviews and queries.

Luxembourg Tax Oversight

  • Coordinate corporate income tax and net wealth tax compliance for Luxembourg entities.
  • Oversee subscription tax filings and reporting requirements for fund vehicles.
  • Monitor investor tax reporting and external service provider delivery.

Process Improvement & Oversight

  • Develop standardised tax processes, templates and compliance calendars.
  • Maintain tax governance documentation, risk registers and reporting frameworks.
  • Oversee tax service providers and coordinate interaction with group tax stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • 4–7+ years' experience in tax gained within practice or industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Irish corporation tax, VAT and tax governance.
  • Experience with funds, SPVs or holding company structures advantageous.
  • Exposure to FATCA/CRS reporting and international tax compliance desirable.
  • Experience dealing with Revenue or tax authorities beneficial.
  • CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification, or working towards same.
  • Strong organisational, stakeholder management and communication skills.

The Opportunity

  • Hybrid working arrangement.
  • Collaborative and supportive working environment.
  • Opportunity to take ownership of a broad tax remit.
  • Exposure to international fund structures and multiple jurisdictions.
  • Long-term career development within an established financial services organisation.
