Wattzo builds AI-powered energy management and climate intelligence systems, combining high-resolution weather forecasting, sensor networks, and predictive analytics to help utilities, cities, and communities make smarter decisions. We operate across Europe and Africa, at the intersection of climate resilience and clean energy.

As Tech Lead, you will own the end-to-end technical stack, from data ingestion at the sensor level to forecast delivery, dashboards, and alerting interfaces. You’ll lead a small distributed engineering team using Agile/Scrum, translate operational requirements into working prototypes fast, and make architectural decisions that stick. You’re comfortable stepping up when things go wrong and curious enough to bring ideas to the table unprompted.

Requirements

Strong background in data engineering, ML pipelines, or geospatial/climate systems. Experience with IoT or sensor data infrastructure is a plus. Proficient in Python, cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), API-first design, and Docker/Kubernetes. Familiar with climate or weather data formats (xarray, NetCDF, NWP pipelines). Experience with open-source agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, AutoGen, or CrewAI). Practiced in Agile/Scrum.
