Role Description This full-time Tech Lead Java & Go role is a hybrid position based in Jakarta, Indonesia, with flexibility for partial work from home. The Tech Lead will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and Go, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading software development activities, reviewing code, setting technical standards, and providing guidance and mentorship to the engineering team. The role involves collaborating with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to define technical solutions, integrate with databases and external services, and support deployment and operations. The Tech Lead will also oversee adherence to best practices in cybersecurity, network security, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement of the development process.
Qualifications

• 8 years experience in Java & Go programming
• Fluent in English
• Strong Software Development and Programming skills, with hands-on expertise in Java and Go and experience designing distributed systems.
• Experience working with Databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), including schema design, performance optimization, and secure data access.
• Solid understanding of Cybersecurity and Network Security principles, including secure coding practices, API security, and protection of cloud or on-premise environments.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams, conduct code reviews, define standards, and mentor developers in modern software engineering practices.
• Familiarity with microservices architectures, RESTful APIs, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively in hybrid and cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in consulting or client-facing roles, and exposure to enterprise-grade systems, is highly beneficial.
