Responsibilities:

• Strong experience on Java and Microservices tech stack Ability to lead and manage a change squad for technical delivery
• Prior banking experience (good to have)
• .Lead the design and development of Java-based applications in the financial services sector.
• .Oversee technical project delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• .Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather requirements and define technical specifications.
• .Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• .Implement best practices for software development, testing, and deployment to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• .Monitor application performance and security, implementing necessary enhancements and optimizations.
• .Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
• Experience and skills required
• .A strong background in retail financial services advisory (preferably 10+ years of change management / project experience) and a proven ability to quickly understand the technology strategy and objectives .Proven experience as a Tech Lead or similar role in software development, specifically using Java and Microservices.
• .Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• .Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
• .Familiarity with financial services regulations and compliance standards.
• .Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• .Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams .An IT background with a solid grounding in technology .
• Experience of working in both Agile & waterfall SDLCs .Communication, group dynamics, collaboration and continuous improvement are core & being best practice driven .2.1 or higher in a related discipline from an academic institution; Masters a plus
