About The role

The Technical Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance and continuous improvement of key Microsoft stack technologies, with a focus on Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Power Platform, Copilot and related tools. The role also works to support administration, maintenance and continuous improvement of other technologies used at WAPHA, including workload tools (e.g. Atlassian Jira), web content platforms, online SaaS and PaaS tools, and generative or agentic AI tools embedded into third-party solutions.

🔹Employment Type: Full- time 2-year maximum term contract

🔹Location: WAPHA Head Office, Level 2, 1 Hood Street, Subiaco (Hybrid role)

🔹Salary: Band 4 ($94,433.68 - $101,495.87) Plus 12% Superannuation

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Assist with gathering stakeholder requirements, documenting needs and supporting the configuration of key technologies including Microsoft 365 and Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and Copilot Studio agents.
  • Support SharePoint Online administration, including site and page updates, list and library configuration, permission updates, metadata maintenance, access reviews, content publishing support and hub/site navigation updates.
  • Support routine web content and web engineering tasks, including CMS updates, content publishing, link checks, accessibility checks, responsive page testing and escalation of technical issues.
  • Assist with configuring, updating, testing, monitoring and documenting Power Apps, Power Automate flows, Power BI reports and related digital solutions under guidance.
  • Support approved solution deployments across environments by testing changes, monitoring performance and stability, documenting outcomes and escalating issues where required.
  • Assist with Generative and Agentic AI administration, including maintaining approved knowledge sources, testing agent responses, monitoring usage, recording issues, supporting prompt updates, following responsible AI controls and escalating risks.
  • Support approved integrations between Microsoft 365, Power Platform solutions, web platforms, third-party applications and APIs by assisting with configuration, testing, troubleshooting and issue documentation.
  • Provide ongoing junior administrator support for deployed digital solutions, including monitoring service requests, troubleshooting routine issues, recording support notes and escalating complex problems.
  • Support governance, security and service quality practices by following approved change, release, privacy, access, data protection and documentation processes.
  • Work collaboratively with the senior engineering, specialist and other Digital and Data staff to update, test, document and troubleshoot digital services across WAPHA.

About you

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following selection criteria:

Essential experience and education

  • Relevant tertiary qualification, training, or equivalent practical experience in information technology, digital platforms or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of security, privacy, data protection and governance practices relevant to Microsoft technologies, (e.g. Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft product administration, maintenance and support.
  • Working knowledge of generative and agentic AI principles, administration, and support.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot routine technical issues, document actions taken, follow support procedures and escalate complex or high-risk matters through agreed support channels.
  • Experience using service management or work tracking tools, such as Atlassian/Jira or equivalent, to record, update and monitor incidents, service requests and support tasks.
  • Strong customer service, communication and documentation skills, with the ability to support staff, explain routine technical matters clearly and maintain accurate support notes.

Preferred knowledge and skills

  • Experience in administration and support of Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, SharePoint Online and Power BI.
  • Working knowledge of relevant technologies and languages (e.g. SQL, Dataverse, JavaScript, C#, etc.) to support configuration, testing, troubleshooting and issue documentation.
  • Working knowledge of web engineering practices, technologies and languages (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design, accessibility, browser compatibility, basic performance checks, API awareness and secure website release support).
  • Knowledge or experience supporting relevant technologies within a healthcare-specific context.
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills, with the ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.
