Founded in 2019, Machina Games is a leading mobile game studio specializing in puzzle games. Since our founding, we have been innovating and staying true to our mission: making games that have never been played before. Having launched two hit titles, Card Shuffle Sort and Sort Dash, we are now looking for talented individuals to help us build our next innovative puzzle game.

Responsibilities

  • Seamlessly implement characters, weapons, UI, and diverse environmental assets directly into the game engine.
  • Design, animate, and optimize stunning visual effects and in-game elements to elevate the overall player experience.
  • Develop, thoroughly test, and deploy custom editor tools designed to streamline artist workflows and automate production tasks.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex visual issues and performance bottlenecks, with a specific focus on mobile platforms.
  • Partner closely with the art, development, and product teams to deliver optimized, high-quality visual assets.
  • Establish, document, and champion technical art best practices across the studio to ensure scalable and efficient workflows.


Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in C# for both editor and runtime development within Unity 3D.
  • Hands-on experience with HLSL; familiarity with node-based editors like Shader Graph is highly welcomed.
  • Deep understanding of 3D mobile game performance optimization techniques to maximize frame rates without sacrificing visual fidelity.
  • Solid knowledge of VFX pipelines, particle systems, fluid simulations, and procedural effects, alongside proficiency in Substance Designer or Adobe Photoshop for custom texture creation.
  • Proven ability to build custom tools and scripts (experience with Python, MEL, or similar scripting languages is a strong plus).
  • Working knowledge of industry-standard 3D modeling and animation packages.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills with a proactive, organized, and self-motivated mindset. Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, Agile team environment.
