Purpose of the Role BGIS is looking for an experienced Technical Facilities Manager to support the delivery of technical facilities management services across a national portfolio for one of Australia's most recognised telecommunications organisations. Reporting to the Technical Operations Manager, you will work closely with client and BGIS teams to support service delivery, maintenance programs, contractor performance, financial outcomes, and compliance across the portfolio. Based in Sunshine, this role includes regular travel to client sites, including two sites in Tasmania approximately once a month. The ideal candidate will be a calm, adaptable, and relationship focused facilities professional who is comfortable working within an evolving environment. You'll bring a steady presence to the team, navigate complex stakeholder conversations with patience and professionalism, and maintain positive working relationships even when priorities shift. Key Responsibilities Support the delivery of technical facilities management services in line with the Services Agreement. Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance programs, service scheduling, and CMMS records. Oversee subcontractor and supplier performance, including documentation, compliance, and works assessment. Support contract financial performance including invoicing, budgets, forecasting, and expenditure management. Prepare scopes of works, contract documentation, and procurement activities in line with BGIS processes. Prepare and obtain approvals for variations and additional works. Provide technical guidance and support to client and internal stakeholders. Ensure compliance with WHS, quality, and environmental requirements across all activities. Prepare monthly reporting, coordinate client meetings, and maintain accurate documentation. Build positive working relationships with client representatives, contractors, suppliers, and colleagues. Travel regularly to client sites, including interstate travel to Tasmania. Education, Experience & Skills Essential: Experience within technical facilities management, property, corporate real estate, or a similarly complex environment. Experience coordinating maintenance programs, subcontractors, and service delivery outcomes. Sound financial and commercial understanding, including budgeting, invoicing, and cost management. Experience working within QA, WHS, and environmental systems. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement skills. The ability to remain composed and professional when managing challenging conversations and competing priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CMMS platforms. Comfortable with regular site travel, including interstate travel. Current Driver's Licence. Desirable: Formal tertiary qualifications in Property, Commerce, Business, or a related discipline. Experience within telecommunications, technology, or multi-site portfolios. Experience supporting teams through periods of change. Exposure to sustainability, energy, or continuous improvement initiatives. Experience preparing scopes of works, tender documentation, and contractor engagement activities. Workplace Flexibility This position is based in Sunshine , with a hybrid arrangement of four days across client sites and the office, and one day working from home .
