We’re looking for a Technical Lead – Batch Management to join an enterprise‑scale infrastructure engineering team, responsible for maintaining stability, performance, and automation across mission‑critical batch processing environments.

This is a high‑impact role combining operational ownership, incident management, technical problem‑solving, and continuous improvement in a global, cross‑functional setup.

• Ensure operational stability, integrity, and availability of batch‑managed products and services.
• Support incident identification, resolution, and root‑cause analysis within established SLAs.
• Maintain compliance with internal Service Management Standards and controls.
• Deliver continuous improvements and propose infrastructure enhancements.
• Lead certificates renewal and dynamic work console management tasks.
• Manage end‑to‑end batch processing: daily, monthly, yearly, and critical operations.
• Collaborate with distributed teams to deliver infrastructure changes focused on automation, performance, and user experience.
• Develop, test and deploy changes to ensure load, availability and resilience requirements are met.
• Drive automation efforts in build, testing, and deployment to minimise manual variation.
• Support high levels of availability through monitoring, maintenance, and continuous integration practices.
• Participate in and manage on‑call rota for Batch Management operations.
• Act as a technical leader within the team — delegating tasks effectively and coaching colleagues.

• Strong knowledge of JCL for IBM z/OS on Mainframe.
• Solid experience with IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) and batch job automation.
• Demonstrated incident and change management skills aligned with SLA principles.
• Deep knowledge of batch error resolution and recovery procedures.
• Experience in technical co‑ordination and delegation within international teams.
• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives within operations.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and ownership mindset.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Nice to Have

• Prior experience as Technical Lead or Operations Lead.
• Knowledge of Horizont IWS Graph, BatchCP, BatchAD and XINFO toolsets.
• Familiarity with collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Analytical and solution‑oriented approach to work. 
• Spoken German language skills would be an advantage.
