Technical Program Manager

A 200+ person AI Scale up in Abu Dhabi is building a model-agnostic agentic platform for governments and large enterprises with strict data sovereignty constraints. Picture a sovereign equivalent of ChatGPT or Claude, sold as SaaS and also deployed on-premise on the client's own infrastructure.

The company is a little over two years old and already has revenue. The platform runs at several UAE government entities, and a Forward Deployed Engineering team installs and customises it on client sites. Every release has to work across multiple environments, so delivery is a serious engineering topic here.

Next on the roadmap: making the core platform more capable (code execution, file generation, the agent harness, new skills), building new products on top of it such as a meeting assistant designed for Arabic dialects, and specialising the platform by industry, starting with banking. The TPM team was recently refocused on strongly technical profiles and is hiring for several seats, one of them with an infrastructure focus.

What you'll do

• Embed in one or two engineering teams (PMs, tech leads, designers, software, ML and DevOps engineers) and keep scope, priorities and dependencies clear

• Go through PRDs and technical designs early to catch risks and cross-team dependencies before they block delivery

• Own at least one cross-team program end to end, involving several teams and leadership

• Turn feedback from forward deployed engineers and client deployments into roadmap priorities

• Cover build and run: quality, testing, releases, on-prem deployments, first investigation of production incidents

• Help shape the TPM function: rituals, retros, ways of working, hiring

What they expect

• A real technical background. Former software engineers / SRE are a strong plus. You won't code, but you read code and challenge a technical design

• High-level system design: splitting services, choosing a database, explaining how a RAG pipeline works and when fine-tuning makes more sense

• Production experience: logs, monitoring, observability, scalability

The profile we're looking for

• 3+ years as a TPM, program manager or in an adjacent role (engineering manager, technical PM), in big tech or a tech startup/scale-up

• Working knowledge of LLMs, agents, evals, RAG and orchestration, or the drive to get there fast. For the infra-focused seat: Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD pipelines, Argo CD

• At ease with ambiguity and able to influence without authority. Individual contributor role, no people management

• Fluent English. French is a plus since much of the leadership speaks it, but not required
