Technical Project Manager - Remote

Reliable Technology Services (RTS) is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to manage and coordinate a diverse portfolio of client and internal technology projects.

Projects may include new client onboardings, Microsoft 365 and Azure migrations, server and infrastructure upgrades, network deployments, cybersecurity implementations, cloud migrations, office moves, and other technology initiatives.

The Project Manager will be responsible for keeping projects organized, properly scheduled, within scope, and moving toward completion while coordinating communication between clients, engineers, vendors, and RTS leadership.

This is primarily a project management and coordination role, not a hands-on engineering position. A strong understanding of IT infrastructure and managed services is important, but success in this role depends on organization, communication, follow-through, and the ability to keep multiple projects moving at the same time.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage client and internal technology projects from handoff through completion.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, priorities, milestones, and dependencies.
• Coordinate schedules, responsibilities, and resources across engineers, clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Keep projects moving by identifying and addressing risks, delays, blockers, and resource conflicts.
• Serve as the primary coordination point for client communication during active projects.
• Provide clear and consistent project status updates to clients, technical teams, and leadership.
• Monitor project scope, labor, budget, and timelines and escalate concerns when necessary.
• Coordinate changes in scope and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained.
• Maintain accurate and current project information within project management and PSA systems.
• Work closely with Service Delivery, Operations, and technical teams to balance priorities and resource availability.
• Help ensure projects transition smoothly from planning into implementation and through final completion.
• Provide leadership with clear visibility into project status, priorities, risks, and expected completion dates.

Qualifications

Required

• 3+ years of project management or project coordination experience.
• Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects with competing priorities.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
• Ability to coordinate technical resources and hold stakeholders accountable to commitments and deadlines.
• Ability to identify risks, dependencies, and potential delays before they impact project delivery.
• Comfortable communicating with both technical teams and non-technical client stakeholders.
• Experience working with project management, ticketing, PSA, or similar business systems.

Preferred

• Experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP), IT consulting company, or technology services organization.
• Experience managing IT infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, or Microsoft 365 projects.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Windows Server, networking, cybersecurity, backup, and cloud services.
• Experience with Autotask or another PSA/project management platform.
• PMP, CAPM, CompTIA Project+, or similar project management certification is a plus.

• The Project Manager consistently drives projects toward completion while helping RTS meet established project delivery KPIs related to timeliness, budget, project health, execution, and client satisfaction.
