About BrokerLift

BrokerLift is a specialty insurance technology company transforming how brokers, MGAs and carriers connect in real time. Our platform enables complex insurance products to be distributed simply and efficiently.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Technical Project Manager to lead software delivery for several key clients. You'll manage multiple client relationships and projects, coordinate developers and QA resources, and drive delivery from requirements through launch. We're a small, fast-moving SaaS company. We need a confident self-starter who communicates clearly, takes ownership and keeps things moving with minimal oversight. This is a 12-month contract, so the ability to get up to speed quickly and make an immediate impact is essential.

What You'll Do

● Own Client Delivery: Manage multiple client implementations and enhancements, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and to client expectations.

● Lead the Team: Coordinate developers, QA and other technical resources, ensuring priorities, responsibilities and timelines are clear.

● Manage Client Relationships: Be a trusted day-to-day contact for key clients, leading meetings, managing expectations and communicating progress.

● Plan & Prioritize: Translate requirements into actionable delivery plans, balancing scope, timelines, competing priorities and available capacity.

● Drive Execution: Keep projects moving, identify blockers early, follow up on commitments and ensure work gets completed.

● Understand the Technology: Work comfortably with developers on technical requirements, integrations, APIs, configuration and software delivery challenges.

● Manage Risks & Issues: Anticipate problems, escalate when appropriate and bring forward practical options and recommendations.

● Own the Details: Maintain accurate project plans, Jira tickets, documentation and status reporting.

Who You Are

● A strong communicator: Clear, confident and proactive with clients, developers and leadership. You can explain technical issues in plain language.

● A self-starter: You don't wait to be told what to do. You identify what needs attention and take action.

● Comfortable taking ownership: You can independently manage several important clients and competing priorities.

● Technically capable: You understand how software gets built, tested and deployed, and can have productive conversations with engineers.

● Organized and disciplined: You bring structure to complex work and ensure commitments don't fall through the cracks.

● Confident and collaborative: You're comfortable asking questions, challenging assumptions and asking for help when needed.

● Adaptable: You work well in a growing company where priorities change and not everything has a documented process.

● Action-oriented: You focus on moving work forward and solving problems rather than simply reporting status.

What You Bring

● 5+ years of experience in technical project management, software implementation or SaaS delivery.

● Demonstrated experience managing multiple client-facing software projects simultaneously.

● Experience coordinating and leading software development teams.

● Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, testing and releases.

● Experience working directly with enterprise or complex B2B clients.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

● Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet and related project management tools.

● Previous contract experience, with a demonstrated ability to ramp up quickly and deliver with minimal oversight. Nice to Have

● Experience in insurance, InsurTech or specialty insurance.

● Experience with SaaS platforms involving integrations, APIs and complex product configuration.

● Located in Western Canada or comfortable working with clients and teams across North American time zones.

What Success Looks Like Within your first few months:

● You've taken ownership of the existing client portfolio and delivery commitments.

● Clients have confidence in your communication, responsiveness and follow-through.

● Developers have clear priorities, realistic schedules and the information needed to deliver.

● Projects are moving forward with risks and blockers identified early.

● Leadership has clear visibility into project status, capacity and upcoming commitments.

● You're operating independently and making a meaningful contribution without requiring extensive oversight.

Why BrokerLift?

You'll join a small, collaborative team building technology for a complex and evolving industry. You'll have real ownership, direct client relationships, and the opportunity to make an immediate impact — without the layers and bureaucracy of a large organization.
