Technical Resident Engineer – Hyperscale Data Centre (On-site)

Role Description We are looking for a disciplined and reliable Junior Technical Support professional to join our data center operations team. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals looking to kickstart their career in the tech and cloud infrastructure industry.

In this role, you will be the "hands on the ground." You will not be responsible for troubleshooting or technical analysis—all diagnostics, technical assessments, and troubleshooting steps will be pre-determined and completely provided to you by our senior engineering teams. Your primary mission is to execute guided, physical tasks precisely, safely, and efficiently on the data center floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Guided Task Execution: Carry out step-by-step physical actions (such as server power cycles, cable re-seating, and hard drive swaps) strictly following instructions provided by remote or senior engineers.
• Rack-and-Stack Support: Assist with unboxing, mounting, and physically installing servers, storage arrays, and network switches into data center racks.
• Asset Management: Perform physical inventory audits, update asset tags, and log hardware movement using our internal inventory tools.

Requirements (Entry-Level)

• Experience: 0–1 year of IT experience. Fresh graduates with a TVET, Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field are highly encouraged to apply.
• Core Skill: Ability to strictly follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical checklists without deviation.
• Communication: Good basic English and Bahasa Malaysia communication skills to relay status updates clearly to coordinating teams.
• Operational Readiness: Willingness to work on a rotational shift schedule (including weekends/nights) to support facility operations.
