Technical Solutions Analyst (Madrid - Hybrid)

In this role, you will work with AXON NETWORKS products and real-world network data from leading global ISPs, such as Deutsche Telekom, Telefónica and Bouygues, helping them improve the performance, operation and customer experience of their Fixed Access and WiFi networks in compliance with applicable data protection and privacy requirements.

As a Technical Solutions Analyst, you will act as a bridge between network technology, data analytics, customers and product development.

We are looking for someone who combines a strong telecommunications background with an analytical mindset and an interest in working closely with customers. You will investigate network data, troubleshoot complex technical problems, understand customer needs and ISP pain points, and help translate those findings into effective technical solutions and product improvements.

Experience in either Fixed Access technologies, such as fiber/PON, or WiFi is highly relevant. Deep expertise in both areas is not required from day one.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze real-world network data to improve the performance, operation and customer experience of Fixed Access and WiFi networks for global ISPs.

• Translate customer requirements, business needs and ISP pain points into technical analyses, use cases and proposed solutions.

• Create customized analyses, reports and recommendations adapted to specific customer deployments.

• Support the design and configuration of AXON NETWORKS solutions according to the characteristics of each customer's network.

• Support the validation of new backend releases, algorithms, network equipment and product capabilities using laboratory and production data.

• Work directly with customers during solution delivery, technical investigations, workshops and training activities.

• Provide expert technical assistance to customers and internal teams.

• Identify limitations or improvement opportunities in existing product features based on customer data and real network behavior.

• Work closely with Product and Telecommunications Engineering development colleagues to translate technical findings and customer needs into product improvements and new capabilities for relevant ISP use cases.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytical methodologies, tools and processes within the Communications & Analytics team.

• Depending on seniority, mentor and support junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the technical community.

Requirements:

• Technical Skills

  • MSc in Telecommunications Engineering or a related technical field. A PhD is a plus and may compensate for some professional experience.
  • Strong understanding of communication systems and networking fundamentals, including network-performance concepts, signal processing and/or statistical analysis.
  • Experience or knowledge in Fixed Access networks, including copper/DSL and fiber access technologies such as FTTH/PON, and/or WiFi and home-network performance.
  • Understanding of physical-layer and network-performance measurements and their impact on service quality and customer experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues in laboratory and/or production network environments.
  • Experience collecting, processing, analyzing and reporting technical data, including analyzing large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, correlations and potential root causes.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases; knowledge of MongoDB or other NoSQL technologies is a plus.
  • Experience using Python, MATLAB or similar tools for technical, statistical or data analysis.
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and version-control systems such as Git.
  • Experience with network-analysis and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, iPerf or similar tools is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with data visualization or machine-learning techniques is a plus.

• Ability to work in hybrid in Madrid/Istanbul.
