Technical Support Engineer

Allan-Ashford Technology Recruitment is working with a global technology company specialising in industrial automation, machine vision and AI-powered solutions, who are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join their European team in Budapest.

The Role

• Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues submitted via phone and web-based support channels.
• Diagnose problems and identify potential root causes.
• Reproduce technical issues and test potential solutions.
• Provide clear technical guidance and solutions.
• Escalate complex issues to Engineering, Product and Application teams.
• Document technical investigations and findings within the CRM.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Work with technical teams across Europe and globally.
• Develop your product knowledge through structured training and ongoing learning.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in candidates with a technical background in:

• Industrial automation
• Electronics
• Robotics
• Manufacturing
• IT
• Engineering

You should have

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience working with technical products or systems.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, Profinet or Modbus.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, system architectures and wiring diagrams.
• A methodical approach to diagnosing and reproducing technical issues.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Professional English and German, spoken and written.
