2. About the Opportunity:
The Technical Support & Trainer – Geospatial role supports customers in Southern California by providing advanced technical assistance and training on geospatial and surveying technologies. This position acts as a trusted technical resource, facilitating successful adoption of solutions and collaborating with internal teams to align technical support with customer needs. The role contributes to both pre-sales and post-sales activities by offering consultative expertise, enhancing customer experience, and supporting onboarding and ongoing use of geospatial products.
3. Responsibilities:
- Deliver advanced technical support via phone, email, and in-person
- Conduct customer training sessions and workshops
- Develop and maintain training materials and documentation
- Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve complex issues
- Provide technical guidance to internal teams
- Collect and communicate customer feedback for product and process improvements
- Stay updated on new features and industry best practices
- Participate in pre-sales technical consultations and demonstrations
- Support customer onboarding and solution alignment
- Maintain accurate records of support and training activities
4. Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Engineering, Geomatics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical support, training, surveying, or technical education
- Proficiency troubleshooting software and hardware related to geospatial and surveying technologies
- Experience with GNSS receivers, total stations, 3D scanners, drones, and related tools
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Valid California driver’s license
- Preferred experience with UAV/drone data, photogrammetry, point clouds, scanning, and industry software like Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD, and ESRI/ArcGIS
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- Competitive compensation package ranging from $80,000 to $110,000
