Technical Team Leader – Electrical Commissioning (CxA)-Datacenter

We are seeking an Electrical Commissioning Technical Team Leader to spearhead the commissioning delivery team for hyperscale and colocation AI data-centre projects.

This role will provide strategic technical leadership, people management and client-facing governance across the complete commissioning lifecycle from L0–L6, with particular emphasis on L3 Energization, L4 Functional Performance Testing (FPT) and L5 Integrated Systems Testing (IST).

Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead and mentor a team of 15–20+ commissioning leads and engineers, fostering technical excellence and professional development.

• Establish and own the electrical commissioning strategy, planning, execution and technical governance framework.

• Champion L3/L4/L5 commissioning delivery, including energization, FPT, IST and failure-mode testing protocols.

• Provide comprehensive technical oversight across HV/MV/LV systems, substations, transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS, batteries, ATS/STS, busway, PDU/PMDC and EPMS/SCADA infrastructure.

• Review and validate SLDs, protection schemes, coordination studies, load-flow/short-circuit/arc-flash studies, SOO and commissioning test scripts for technical accuracy and compliance.

• Lead and oversee FAT/SAT, primary and secondary injection testing, protection verification, load-bank testing and integrated systems testing activities.

• Validate seamless electrical integration with BMS, EPMS, mechanical and fire/life-safety systems to ensure operational coherence.

• Drive resolution of commissioning issues through rigorous RCA, maintain risk registers, manage punch lists and ensure technical close-out compliance.

• Serve as the senior technical interface with hyperscale clients, CxA teams, consultants, contractors, OEMs and utilities, ensuring clear communication and stakeholder alignment.

• Champion electrical safety culture, LOTO protocols, energization and switching procedures throughout the commissioning lifecycle.

Preferred Certifications

NETA III/IV | CxA/CBCP | CDCP/CDCS | Uptime Institute ATD or equivalent

Ideal background: Hyperscale/colocation data centers, substations, power generation, semiconductor, pharmaceutical/life sciences, or other mission-critical facilities.
