As we continue to grow our Data, AI & BI capability, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of impactful technology solutions, build trusted client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of our consulting and delivery services.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Capability Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of multiple concurrent Data, AI, BI and Technology projects across COSOL and client environments.

This is a client-facing leadership role that combines project delivery, stakeholder engagement, solution consulting, and business development. Working closely with clients, technical specialists and delivery teams, you will shape and deliver innovative technology solutions that solve real business challenges and create lasting value.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project outcomes, developing strong client relationships, supporting presales and solution development activities, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, profitably, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

• Lead the delivery of multiple concurrent Data, AI, BI and Technology projects from initiation through to closure.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, resource plans and risk registers.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver successful client outcomes.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
• Manage project governance, reporting, stakeholder communications and steering committee updates.
• Proactively manage risks, issues and dependencies.
• Mentor and support project team members while fostering a high-performance culture.
• Drive strong commercial outcomes through effective project and resource management.

Client Engagement & Solution Consulting

• Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with key client stakeholders.
• Facilitate discovery workshops and stakeholder sessions to understand business objectives and challenges.
• Translate client needs into practical Data, AI, BI and technology solutions.
• Collaborate with technical specialists to shape solution approaches and delivery strategies.
• Act as the primary point of contact for project delivery and client communications.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes, systems and outcomes through technology.

Business Development & Sales Support

• Contribute to business development activities including opportunity identification, solution shaping, proposal development and client presentations.
• Support account growth through strong client relationships and ongoing engagement.
• Assist in developing Statements of Work, estimates and delivery approaches.
• Work closely with sales and capability leaders to qualify and progress opportunities.
• Identify follow-on work, contract extensions and opportunities to expand COSOL's services within existing clients.
• Participate in presales workshops, demonstrations and solution discussions.

Discovery & Solution Delivery

• Facilitate requirements gathering and business discovery activities.
• Analyse business processes, technology environments and operational challenges.
• Support scope definition, effort estimation and delivery planning.
• Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
• Coordinate solution design, development, testing and deployment activities.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and transition to support services.
• Ensure delivered solutions align with client objectives and agreed outcomes.

Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of delivery frameworks, methodologies and best practices.
• Ensure project documentation and governance artefacts are maintained.
• Support proposal, tender and bid activities as required.
• Share knowledge and lessons learned across the broader team.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• 5+ years' experience in Project Management, Technology Consulting or Professional Services environments.
• Experience delivering Data, Analytics, BI, AI or Technology projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and client engagements.
• Strong experience managing project scope, budgets, schedules, resources and stakeholder expectations.
• Experience supporting business development, presales, account management or consulting activities.
• Experience facilitating discovery workshops, requirements gathering and solution shaping activities.
• Strong understanding of Agile, PRINCE2, PMBOK or similar project delivery methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring project or delivery team members.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and facilitation skills.
• Strong commercial acumen and business awareness.

Desirable

• Degree qualification in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, Agile Scrum Master or equivalent.
• Experience delivering Microsoft Data & AI solutions including Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform or Azure AI services.
• Experience within transport, mining, utilities, energy, infrastructure or other asset-intensive industries.
• Experience in consulting or client-facing professional services environments.
• Exposure to financial management, budgeting and project reporting.
