Test Automation Engineer – Playwright & ReadyAPI

Our client, a leading organization in the legal and professional services sector, is looking for a Test Automation Engineer to support their digital transformation. The role involves verifying software functionality on technical and functional levels while collaborating closely with delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Review acceptance criteria to ensure the testability of requirements.
• Set up and maintain automation frameworks using tools such as Playwright.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts for both UI and API layers.
• Monitor bug tracking, perform issue follow-up, and deliver comprehensive test reports.
• Define test estimates and project plans in collaboration with the lead test manager.
• Contribute to the continuous enhancement of testing methodologies and deliverables.

Requirements

• You have 7+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on UI and API automation.
• You bring technical experience with Playwright, Groovy, TypeScript, and ReadyAPI.
• You possess proficiency in testing Java services, web services, REST APIs, and proxy services.
• You have knowledge of Git for version control.
• You're experienced in working within Agile environments.
• You're a proactive team player with strong analytical and communication skills.
• You are fluent in English with native-level proficiency in Dutch or French and a good understanding of the other (French or Dutch).

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Xray.
• Familiarity with AI prompting in a quality assurance context.
