Trade Finance Specialist / Trade Operations Analyst

Role Description The Trade Finance Specialist / Trade Operations Analyst will support founders and partner organizations by providing expertise in trade finance structures, documentation, and operational processes. This part-time remote role involves reviewing and advising on Letters of Credit, ensuring compliance with UCP 600 and other relevant regulations, and coordinating with banks and financial institutions on trade-related transactions. The role includes analyzing trade finance risks, recommending appropriate instruments for international and domestic trade, and preparing clear summaries and guidance for non-finance stakeholders. The specialist will also help build educational content or frameworks on trade finance best practices for the community, contribute insights to related initiatives or events, and maintain accurate records and reporting for trade operations support.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong trade finance expertise, including Trade Finance and Finance skills, with the ability to structure and analyze trade-related transactions.
• Candidates should possess specialized skills in Letters of Credit and UCP 600, with experience reviewing documentation, ensuring compliance, and liaising with banks.
• Candidates should possess Business Relationship Management skills to collaborate effectively with founders, partners, and financial institutions.
• Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment abilities, particularly in cross-border trade and financing contexts.
• Candidates should possess clear written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-specialists.
• Candidates should possess high attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting.
• Candidates with experience in banking, corporate finance, international trade, or consulting, and knowledge of Southeast Asian or Philippine markets, would be highly beneficial.
• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
