Trademark & IP Law Paralegal - full time or part time We are seeking an experienced Trademark / Intellectual Property Paralegal to support a U.S. law firm handling trademark, copyright, and broader intellectual property matters. This is a fully remote role for a legal professional with strong IP experience, excellent drafting and docketing skills, and hands-on experience supporting U.S. attorneys with trademark prosecution and portfolio management. Key Responsibilities Support attorneys with U.S. trademark prosecution and portfolio management. Prepare and file trademark applications, amendments, renewals, declarations of use, assignments, and related USPTO submissions. Conduct preliminary trademark searches and organize search results for attorney review. Monitor trademark application status, deadlines, office actions, renewals, and maintenance requirements. Assist with responses to USPTO Office Actions and gather supporting evidence. Prepare and file Statements of Use, Amendments to Allege Use, Sections 8, 9, 15, and other post-registration filings. Assist with trademark oppositions, cancellations, and TTAB matters. Maintain accurate trademark docketing systems and calendar all critical deadlines. Prepare trademark watch reports and monitor potentially conflicting marks. Communicate directly with clients to gather information, specimens, ownership details, and supporting documentation. Prepare trademark assignment documents, consent agreements, coexistence agreements, and related correspondence. Assist with copyright registrations and related IP filings. Maintain organized intellectual property portfolios and digital case files. Coordinate with foreign associates and international counsel when supporting global trademark portfolios. Conduct legal and factual research related to trademarks, copyrights, and intellectual property matters. Work within the firm's case management, docketing, and document management systems. Follow established firm procedures and quality standards. Candidate Requirements Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Paralegal, Lawyer, or Attorney. Minimum 2 years of experience working with a trademark or intellectual property law firm in the United States. Strong hands-on experience with U.S. trademark prosecution. Experience preparing and filing trademark applications and post-registration maintenance documents. Experience working with the USPTO and Trademark Electronic Application System. Strong knowledge of trademark deadlines, filing requirements, and prosecution procedures. Experience with trademark docketing and portfolio management. Experience assisting with Office Action responses. Familiarity with TTAB opposition and cancellation proceedings. Experience conducting trademark searches and reviewing USPTO records. Experience working directly with U.S. attorneys and clients. Strong legal drafting and document preparation skills. Experience with IP docketing or legal case management software. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 or comparable cloud-based business tools. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
