Contract: Full-time, fixed-term until 31 March 2028

Location: Home-based, with some nationwide travel

If you offer experience of designing and delivering structured or accredited training in the voluntary, community, health or social care sector, this is an exciting opportunity to support GamCare in making a real difference to the lives of women affected by gambling related harms.

Founded in 1997, GamCare is one of the leading providers of information, advice and support for anyone affected by gambling harms. We operate the National Gambling Helpline, deliver free treatment services across multiple regions of Great Britain and raise awareness of gambling harms through prevention programmes.

GamCare is looking for a Training Lead to join our Women's Pathway programme, helping to improve awareness and understanding of gambling-related harm and ensuring more women can recognise harm and access the support they need.

This is a rewarding opportunity to use your training expertise, creativity and relationship-building skills to empower women, challenge stigma, increase awareness and make a meaningful impact across communities throughout the UK.

You will develop and deliver engaging, accessible and high-quality training to professionals, volunteers, community organisations and women's groups across the UK. Your training will build knowledge, confidence and understanding of gambling-related harm, helping professionals recognise the signs and respond appropriately. You will also facilitate sessions directly with women, helping them identify potential harm and understand the support available.

A key part of the role will involve establishing and maintaining relationships with organisations, services and community groups to identify training opportunities and extend the reach of the programme. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to develop tailored learning experiences that meet the needs of diverse audiences.

You will also contribute to the development of training materials, digital learning resources and awareness-raising activities, ensuring content is informed by current research, evidence, best practice and participant feedback.

About You

You will be an experienced training professional, ideally with a background in women's services, domestic abuse support, mental health, addiction and recovery, public health or the wider voluntary and community sector.

You will have a relevant training qualification or significant experience of delivering structured training programmes, including workshops or learning activities directly with women. You will understand adult learning principles and trauma-informed practice, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and adapt your approach to different learning and accessibility needs.

With strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, you will be passionate about empowering women and improving access to support. Knowledge of gambling harms would be advantageous but is not essential.

What we offer

We want colleagues to feel supported, valued and able to balance their work with life outside work.

Benefits include:

  • 33 days’ annual leave including bank holidays, pro-rated for part-time colleagues and increasing to a maximum of 38 days with service
  • A generous pension scheme, with 6% employer contribution
  • Discretionary company sick pay after six months’ service
  • A 24-hour Employee Assistance Programme
  • Premium access to the CALM app for you and up to five dependants

The closing date for applications is Friday 30 October 2026.

GamCare welcomes applications from people with lived experience of gambling-related harm and is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion. This role requires an enhanced DBS check. Visa sponsorship is available only in very limited circumstances, and applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
