Join our Finance team as the Group’s first point of call for cash, FX and banking. You’ll take ownership of treasury across a fast-growing, multi-currency, multi-entity business trading in over 80 countries, giving the CFO and Board the confidence to make funding decisions with clarity.
What you’ll be doing
FX and risk management
- Manage the Group’s FX exposure, booking forward contracts for longer-term requirements and handling short-term currency needs.
- Monitor interest rate exposure on borrowings and recommend hedging where appropriate.
Cash management and forecasting
- Own the Group cash flow forecast, keeping it accurate enough to support funding decisions, and report on variances between forecast and actual cash.
- Manage short and long-term deposits across multiple currencies to increase returns on surplus cash, including using deposit platforms to earn interest ahead of conversion.
- Run intercompany funding and cash sweeps in line with the Group’s transfer pricing.
Banking and payments
- Build strong relationships with banks, FX and deposit providers.
- Review the Group’s bank account structure and fees, then recommend and deliver improvements.
- Partner with the eCommerce team to reduce Shopify and payment processing fees and secure the best currency conversion rates on customer receipts.
- Improve bank connectivity and treasury systems, including feeds into the ERP and forecasting tools.
Reporting
- Produce monthly treasury reporting for the CFO and Board, covering cash, facility headroom and FX positions.
- Build the cash flow scenarios and stress testing that support the going concern and viability statements in the annual report and half-year results.
- Prepare the Group’s Payment Practices Reporting.
Governance and controls
- Maintain a Board-approved treasury policy, including hedging ratios, approved instruments and counterparty limits.
- Maintain bank mandates and signatory lists, and manage KYC for new entities and bank accounts.
- Own payment controls, including authorisation limits, dual approval and verification of changes to supplier bank details.
- Oversee cash handling controls at sites that accept cash, and continuously improve treasury processes.
Skills, knowledge & expertise
- Proven treasury experience in a multi-currency, multi-entity business.
- Hands-on experience of FX hedging, cash flow forecasting and intercompany funding.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with an ERP system.
- Confident communicator who can work with non-finance teams and challenge where needed.
- Organised and detail-focused, with the ability to manage a high volume of transactions to tight deadlines.
Nice to have: experience within retail or eCommerce.
