Role Description:

This is a hands-on role where your work will directly shape the product’s user experience and visual design. You will be involved in understanding user needs, designing intuitive and engaging interfaces, and validating ideas through usability testing. The platform you will work on serves multiple user types, so you will gain valuable experience designing for complex, multi-role environments.

The selection process is straightforward and quick. After this discussion, a decision will be made. Since the process is short and we are actively recruiting, these positions will close as soon as we find the right fit.

About the Project

We are building an early stage professional networking platform that connects professionals, companies, and opportunities in a transparent and efficient way. The platform supports the full professional journey from networking and career development to hiring and collaboration, while promoting fairness, trust, and automation.

We are currently in the Minimum Viable Product stage and operate in short Agile sprints using the Scrum methodology. Our focus is on rapid feature releases, real-user testing, and continuous improvement.

💼 Internship Overview

We are hiring for two internship positions that can be filled in one of three ways:

  • Combined UI/UX Designer and Researcher: Manage both user research and design responsibilities from concept to delivery.

  • Research-Only Role: Focus solely on conducting UX research and hand over findings to the design team.

  • Design-Only Role: Work from research insights to create polished and user-friendly designs.

You may choose to apply for the combined role or for one of the specialised roles. All roles involve collaboration with product leads, developers, and other team members to ensure the platform delivers a high-quality experience on both web and mobile.

🎯 What You Will Work On

If applying as Combined Designer and Researcher

  • Conduct user research, interviews, and surveys to identify user needs and pain points

  • Translate research findings into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs

  • Map out user flows, navigation structures, and interaction patterns

  • Create interactive prototypes for usability testing and presentations

  • Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs

  • Maintain a consistent design system and brand identity across the platform

If applying as Research-Only

  • Plan and conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability tests

  • Analyse findings and prepare actionable recommendations for the design team

  • Collaborate with the product team to ensure user insights influence feature prioritisation

If applying as Design-Only

  • Create wireframes, mockups, and polished UI designs based on research insights

  • Define user flows, navigation, and interaction patterns

  • Ensure visual consistency, accessibility, and usability across the platform

🧠 Who You Are

  • Proficient in tools relevant to your chosen role (Figma, Adobe XD for designers; survey and testing tools for researchers)

  • Understand both UX research and design principles, even if specialising in one area

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving product environment

  • Able to communicate ideas and decisions clearly to a mixed team of technical and non-technical members

  • Curious about how AI and blockchain technologies can improve professional networking experiences

🛠️ Tools and Processes You Will Use

  • Design and Prototyping: Figma, Adobe XD, or similar

  • Collaboration: Miro or equivalent for brainstorming and mapping user journeys

  • Research: Google Forms, Typeform, or similar survey tools

  • Testing: Remote usability testing platforms or in-platform experiments

  • Agile Workflow: Scrum-based sprints with regular feedback loops

🧩 What You Will Gain

  • Hands-on experience in either or both UX research and UI design for a complex multi-role platform

  • Exposure to AI and blockchain product features and how they influence user experience

  • Opportunity to work closely with developers in an Agile product cycle

  • A certificate of completion and documented proof of your contributions

⚠️ A Note on Expectations

This is an unpaid internship, and while there is no guaranteed promise of a future paid role, equity, or long-term employment at this stage, we are committed to recognising and supporting outstanding talent.

We are a bootstrapped early stage project currently operating without external funding. Our progress is powered by the dedication of our team, and future developments depend on user adoption, achievement of product milestones, and potential funding opportunities.

We aim to create an environment where motivated contributors can grow their skills, gain real-world experience, and make a tangible impact on a platform with strong future potential. Those who demonstrate exceptional contribution, initiative, and alignment with our vision will receive our full support in exploring future opportunities with us as the project grows.

If you are ready to challenge yourself, collaborate with a driven team, and help shape a meaningful professional networking platform, we would love to hear from you.
