UI/UX Designer

THIS IS A REMOTE WORK. OPEN TO MANILA AND NON-MANILA RESIDENTS. An interesting opportunity has arisen that would allow the successful applicant to join a start-up to help deliver the software platform for a new digital asset securities exchange; focused on an institutional client base. The ideal applicant will bring previous experience of analyzing and defining requirements and design specification. This is the 1st dedicated UI/UX Designer hire into the software development team in the Philippines. You will be working alongside a growing dev team of 20 staff locally and ~15 additionally in the UK. This role is varied. We are seeking someone with a general all-round skill set that is used to simply getting stuck in. It is vital you possess good communication skills and are comfortable dealing with all levels of the business. Your key job activities: Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes and mockups, user interface specifications, user journeys, personas, low and high-fidelity prototypes. Work closely with Product Owners and Business Analysts to collect business and product requirements. Collaborate closely with Development to optimize design within technology and resource restraints. Develop and conceptualize solutions to complex UX problems. Drive stakeholder interaction for feature and design validation. Assist in usability and user testing of prototypes and applications. Skills: At least 4 years of experience in UI/UX application/platforms design. Strong understanding of user-centered design and product thinking when making design decisions. Ability to understand technical solutions and translate technical concepts and needs into UI requirements. Proficiency with standard UI/UX tools such as Adobe XD, Axure, InVision, Figma, or Balsamiq. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process. Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills. Excellent documentation skills. Desirable: Experience analyzing and defining large Platforms, ERP or Financial IT systems. Experience in finance with real time trading systems/market data. Experience in working in a regulated financial firm. Experienced in working with multinational global teams.
